Step into the shadows of history and embark on a ghost tour that will lead you on a eerie walk through the many haunted tales of Oxford. This tour was researched by two historians who study the history of hauntings and ghost stories, and is designed to raise questions about the origins and life cycle of hauntings, with a focus on the importance of oral history as a medium for the preservation and experience of ghost stories.
Our Haunted Oxford ghost tour delves into the various stories of the supernatural that are told in the city of Oxford today, revealing the unsettling moments from the past that sparked their origins, and the modern realities that ensure their continued haunting presence.
Far from the traditional approach to ghost tours, this unique tour examines haunting through the echoes of gender disparities, violence, social division, and the powerful grip of memory.
Tour lasts 1.5 hours and runs in all weather so please dress appropriately.
